A Quiet Rebellion
I grew up knowing what it feels like to be underestimated. From a young age, I pushed against expectations that girls are inferior, scientists belong only in labs, parenthood sidelines ambition, or leadership has to be loud. Watching my parents build a business from nothing taught me resilience, but also how limited access to knowledge can hold people back. That’s when I realized education isn’t just credentials, it’s freedom.
I moved to the U.S. with two suitcases, earned a Master’s and PhD in Food Science, and later an MBA from Columbia. Over the next decade, working across food, beauty, and wellness, I saw the difference between science that builds trust and science that creates noise. That’s where DPhiant began....
Through it all, something personal stayed with me: a giant pimple on my wedding day that no makeup could cover. Even now, a small breakout at the wrong moment can shake confidence.
